Round 2
Well aside from my farcical escape from a totally lost position against David Fitzsimons I dont recall too much from this round and I did not have the time to offer much by way of comment. Maybe I did not miss too much after all as I notice the following comments on the offical ICU website in which Mark Orr writes the following: : "Game of the round goes to Bernard Boyle firstly for the way he trapped Peter Cafolla's queen and secondly for a beautifully neat score sheet (much appreciated by the poor sap whose job it is to type in all the games)." well I guess that is evidence that I did not miss much? Anyway I am thankful to Mark for doing the work of putting in the games and regularly keeping us informed of pairings results and games etc. It should be obvious by now that I have been copying the pairings and results from screenshots for the purposes of having a complete record for the future. I also now notice that he is making the games available in PGN format which is a big help
